Muscle Editor Free vs Premium - What You Actually Need
A clear breakdown of what free credits get you and when Premium is worth it. No upsell, just the math.
Published February 22, 2026
Most users never need Premium. Here’s the math.
Confusion about what costs credits, what doesn’t, and when to upgrade. The default answer is "stay on free until you hit the cap".
The work, step by step
- Free credits cover the learning curve. New users get enough credits to render every body part on every intensity. By the time the credits run out, you know which preset you actually want.
- Premium unlocks unlimited generation. If you’re editing daily - content creators, gym progress logs - Premium pays for itself fast. If you’re editing weekly, credit packs are cheaper.
- HD upscale is Premium-only. For Instagram, the standard render is fine. For high-res printing or thumbnail content, the HD upscale is worth the upgrade.
- Higher daily limits on Premium. Free has a soft daily limit to keep server costs down. Premium’s limit is roughly 10× higher.
- Cancel anytime. Subscriptions cancel from your App Store or Google Play settings. Your generated photos stay in your library either way.
Common pitfalls
- Buying Premium on day one before you know which preset you’ll use.
- Buying credits when the subscription would be cheaper for your frequency.
- Forgetting that subscriptions auto-renew - check your store settings.
How Muscle Editor fits in
The Muscle Editor pricing screen shows your current credit balance, daily limit, and what each Premium tier unlocks. There are no hidden charges and no per-render fees on Premium.
